#vacancy #fulltime #contract 🔎 Senior DBA (MS SQL Server) — Remote | 12–18 month contract 📍 Remote 📄 Fixed-term B2B contract We're looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join a Data Engineering team maintaining one of the larger single-server MS SQL analytical warehouses out there - 60+ TB running in an AlwaysOn availability group (2 servers: primary + read replica). This is a fixed-term contract tied to a DWH migration to Google Cloud Platform. Once the migration is complete, the role wraps up — a well-defined, high-impact engagement rather than a permanent seat. What you'll do: — Advanced T-SQL work on MS SQL Server 2008–2019, incl. stored procedures run tens of millions of times a day — Query/execution-plan optimization on a genuinely high-load analytical server (not typical OLTP) — Support and maintain the AlwaysOn availability group — Routine SQL Server administration — maintenance, recovery, security, data integrity — Direct work with analysts and ML engineers on data access What matters most: Real hands-on experience with large tables — 1TB+ / 1B+ rows — rather than managing a large fleet of standard-size servers.
