Financial Controller, Major Petrochemical Company Location: China (Shanghai) Responsibilities: • Lead the financial control function for a multi-entity industrial business, ensuring transparent management reporting and cost efficiency across legal entities: • Prepare the annual budget and quarterly management reporting, consolidating data across legal entities with actual-vs-plan variance analysis; • Analyze profitability by product, customer, market and business line; identifying opportunities to improve operational and commercial efficiency; • Controll costs and participating in cost optimization initiatives; • Build financial models and analytics to support business decisions; • Monitor key financial and operational KPIs (working capital, inventory turnover, AR/AP, margin analysis, etc.); • Prepare transfer pricing calculations, documentation and analytics; controlling intercompany transactions and profitability; liaising with tax advisors and auditors; • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures, reviewing commercial deals/contracts and approving payments; • Drivine automation and process improvements in reporting and control. Requirements: • At least 5 years of managerial experience in finance; • Proven track record building and running budgeting and management reporting processes; • Strong analytical skills, with ability to quickly deliver a clear financial picture to management; • Experience partnering with the commercial function (end-to-end business economics understanding); • Understanding of transfer pricing principles; SAP proficiency; • Fluent English required, Chinese is a plus; • Fast learner, comfortable operating at high speed under high uncertainty.
