CTO, GPU Cloud / AI Infrastructure

Role: CTO, GPU Cloud / AI Infrastructure 🌍 Dubai, UAE | Full-time | Relocation supported; substantial on-site hybrid can be discussed 🏢 Company: a well-capitalised infrastructure business with significant data-centre capacity, now launching its own AI compute platform for external customers 🛠 The challenge: This isn't a strategy-deck mandate. The first GPU hardware is already procured. The CTO will define everything around it, bring the first clusters into production and build the services that turn physical capacity into a platform customers can actually use. ⚡ What you'll own: - Architecture across GPU compute, servers, high-performance networking, storage, orchestration and the platform layer - Deployment and commissioning of the first GPU environments - Technical standards, vendor and OEM decisions, and the infrastructure roadmap - Building the engineering and platform organization from the ground up - Technology trade-offs and investment decisions, discussed directly with top leadership This is a technology mandate: commercial, sales and P&L sit with dedicated leaders. 📋 Who we'd like to meet: - CTOs, VPs and Heads of AI / GPU infrastructure who have personally built or operated multi-thousand-GPU environments (5,000+ GPUs is our reference point): GPU cloud, neo-cloud, HPC or hyperscale - Hands-on experience treating servers, GPUs, fabric and storage as one system, and taking clusters from delivery to production, not just overseeing vendors - Experience building services on top of infrastructure: GPU-as-a-service, bare metal, managed clusters or an AI cloud platform - Experience with the NVIDIA and/or AMD ecosystem and working directly with major OEMs is a plus - Leaders with an independent point of view, who are as comfortable in an architecture review as in a board-level investment discussion - Fluent professional English ✨ What's in it: - An early-stage platform mandate backed by real, committed infrastructure - Scope to shape the architecture and build the team - Direct access to decision-makers, no layers in between - Individually structured executive package and relocation support 🤝 Not a match on every point?
